About Aczid
Born in 1985, a little too late to consiously experience the era of gabber house, acid and jungle, Aczid got his early musical background from music television.
After realising in his early teens that's hardly what music is about, he scoured his parent's record collection and found some Jerry Lee Lewis and Bob Marley records. He promptly fell in love with both styles.
Yearning for more of those sounds, he got into punk and ska... until he discovered Atari Teenage Riot. Although initially taken aback by the unique harshness, the noise play and severely twisted amen breaks were what caught his ear.
As he was spontaneously surrounded by friends who shared the interest in music production, he started making noise at age 18.
Old-skool ragga-jungle had somewhat of a revival in the early 00's, which has been Aczid's main influence for production ever since.
Currently studying computer science in Amsterdam, next to programming his most distracting hobby is developing his own musical style.
